Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a FestFriends account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and protecting access to your account.

2. What FestFriends provides

FestFriends helps adults discover festivals, connect with other attendees, communicate, participate in festival communities, and optionally use location-based festival features. Festival information may be supplied by organizers or community members and may change.

3. Your conduct

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines and applicable law. You may not harass others, impersonate people or organizations, commit fraud, distribute malicious content, exploit minors, interfere with the service, or use FestFriends to facilitate unlawful or dangerous activity.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give FestFriends permission to host, process, display, resize, transmit, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate and improve the features you choose to use. You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit your content.

5. Moderation

FestFriends may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or protect the service. Available appeal tools may be used when offered.

6. Optional Live Location

Live Location is voluntary. You control whether to share it and can stop sharing. Location accuracy can vary, and FestFriends must not be relied on for emergency navigation, rescue, or personal safety decisions.

7. Festivals and third parties

FestFriends is not the organizer, ticket seller, security provider, transportation provider, or emergency service for festivals unless explicitly stated. Festival schedules, rules, availability, and third-party services can change independently of FestFriends.

8. Paid services, billing, and payment processing

FestFriends may offer paid subscriptions, digital features, promotions, or other services. Before payment, the checkout experience will identify the product or service, price, currency, billing interval when recurring, and any applicable trial or promotional terms. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor such as Stripe.

9. Subscriptions and cancellation

Recurring FestFriends subscriptions renew automatically until canceled unless the checkout terms state otherwise. You may cancel through available account or billing controls or by contacting customer service. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise at purchase, access continues through the end of the period already paid for and no prorated refund is issued for unused time.

10. Refunds and billing disputes

Charges for completed digital services and subscription periods are generally non-refundable except where required by law, where FestFriends makes a billing error, where a duplicate charge occurs, or where a purchased FestFriends service is not provided as described. Refund requests and suspected billing errors should be sent to customer service as soon as reasonably possible with enough information to identify the transaction. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when practicable.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, we encourage you to contact FestFriends first so we can investigate and attempt to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms limits dispute or chargeback rights provided by applicable law or your card issuer.

11. Physical goods and returns

FestFriends does not currently sell physical goods directly unless a FestFriends checkout or product page expressly says FestFriends is the seller. If FestFriends begins selling physical goods directly, the applicable product page or checkout will disclose the return window, condition requirements, return process, shipping responsibility, and any non-returnable items before purchase.

12. Member marketplace

The planned FestFriends marketplace is a venue for members to list festival and camping gear. Unless a listing or checkout expressly identifies FestFriends as the seller, FestFriends is not the seller of a member-listed item. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on payment, pickup or shipping, condition, returns, and other transaction terms. FestFriends may provide communication, reporting, moderation, and safety tools but does not guarantee a member's item, payment, shipping, return, or performance.

Members may not offer illegal, stolen, counterfeit, infringing, hazardous, regulated, sanctioned, or otherwise prohibited goods. Additional marketplace rules may apply when the marketplace launches.

13. Promotions, trials, coupons, and credits

Promotions may include additional terms shown with the offer, including eligibility, start and end dates, redemption limits, geographic restrictions, expiration, renewal pricing, or excluded products. Those offer-specific terms control if they conflict with these general Terms. Unless an offer states otherwise, promotions may not be transferred, resold, redeemed for cash, or combined with another offer.

14. Legal, sanctions, and export restrictions

Payments, purchases, promotions, and marketplace activity must comply with applicable law, sanctions, export controls, and restrictions imposed by payment or financial-service providers. FestFriends may refuse, reverse, restrict, or cancel a transaction where reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, protect users, or comply with payment-network requirements.

15. Taxes and third-party charges

FestFriends prices will identify the applicable currency. Taxes or other required charges may be added where required and disclosed at or before checkout. Your bank, card issuer, mobile platform, or other provider may impose separate fees that are not controlled by FestFriends.

16. Service availability

FestFriends may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We work to operate the service reliably, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

17. Account termination

You may delete your account using available account controls. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or privacy-preserving aggregate analytics as described in the Privacy Policy.

18. Changes

These Terms may be updated as FestFriends evolves. The current version and effective date will be posted here. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
